Hazel Recommends: Super Hair Removal
Do you grow hair like a man?
Not that I do (phew!). If you ask me how much hair I’ve, I really don’t know. & I don’t remember anymore. When I see hair, they must be gone ASAP (but I’m getting slightly lazier now, haha). Except for my crown & lashes. It’s personal preference but I love skin that glides & is cooling to the touch. Not warm, sticky & look like they trap a hell lof of grime beneath the naked eye.
Have you seen women with insanely amount of facial hair? Or chest hair? So insane they look like whiskers. Really. I feel sorry for them & since they obviously know their problem but are too afraid to do IPL hair removal (it hurts for some people!). But hey, you must be thinking some day, one day, scientists are (finally) smart enough & technology is advanced enough to offer us guaranteed painless hair removal. I’m excited to say, the day is here!
For pain wusses like you & I, ClearSK Aesthetic Centres have brought in a new hair removal technology called the Super Hair Removal. Sounds too much like a marketing gimmick? I thought so to. But not to worry. I’ve tried it out & I can attest to it that it is really not painful. At all (Sompah!). Cool huh! In fact, because of the cooling tip of the Super Hair Removal, we get away hairless & painless. Oh btw, this is not an advertorial & I’m reviewing this because I simply love it.
Does beauty have a huge price & pain to pay? Not true for ClearSK. Dr Shiau, Medical Director & head of a team of lady doctors from ClearSK believes that women can look beautiful without torment & a burn in the pockets. That’s why, if you’re an aesthetic guru having gone through lots of treatments yourself, you’ll notice that ClearSK offers the latest non-invasive technology but at a much more affordable price than most places. Go do your research & you’ll know what I mean. They even have doctors, not only therapists, mind you.
Fast forward to my Super Hair Removal aka most comfy hair removal known to man. I was settled down by my wonderfully sweet, kind & friendly therapist Sephanie (Thanks Seph!).
- Alcohol swap
- Cooling gel
- Zap zap zap (all painless, really)
- & it’s done!
- Anti bacterial cream
This, my friends, is a lazy girl’s best friend to hair grooming. I did my virgin SHR on 19 March &..
my hair stopped growing since.
Hooray! I’m definitely going back for a second time.
Tips: If you can, let your hair grow out 3-4 days before Super Hair Removal. This is when your hair would be at an ideal stage for removal (I shaved the day before & still turned out fine. Lucky me!). Schedule your 2nd session exactly a month apart from your 1st. This is to target your hair at a different stage since our hair grows in a cycle.
I went to their Tampines branch @ Telepark (2mins walk from Tampines MRT) but I heard they’ve a spanking new one in town! If you want other first-hand info on SHR, click on their site for their media features on blogs & websites.

So… is this permanent? How many sessions will it take to get rid of the hair completely?
I heard it will lighten the skin also…. how does it work?
hey dear, yes it does lighten too.
it will be permanently removed if you’ve done enough times (am unable to advise how many as it differs from your hair growth rate & type).
it has been 3 wks since i did mine & my hair has stopped. (:
wow.. thanks.. i should give it a try soon.
wow, thanks!! i am now considering SHR or IPL.
np babe! have you done ipl before? i havent cause i heard it hurts!
Hi there,
Yes, I just had my first IPL done on Monday and you can read my review here: http://life-bite.blogspot.com/2010/06/musee-platinum-tokyo-ipl-promotion-at.html
It’s almost painless. I thought it would hurt too but surprisingly, it didn’t.
There’s a $188 unlimited promo that’s really worth trying right now.
Cheers! =)
hi hazel, its been more than a yr.. have you still been doing SHR brazilian with ClearSK ?
how many times have you done and whats the outcome till date ?
from your post on the procedure, you mean they din shave yr private areas before doing SHR ? is it done by the therapist or aesthetician?
if possible, kindly share more on the procedure.. and how much was it back then ?
hey dearie!
i did SHR underarms, not brazilian actually. did it. loved it. & still love it though my hair’s grown out & all!
i did a few times & i could see a significant slowing down of hair growth. but i’ve been into plucking ever since so i guess my hair’s pretty back to normal rate now (:
yes, shaving will be done in all SHR or even IPL proecedures so that the light can still be targeted at the active hair core.
it can be done by a therapist but should you require a doctor, you can always request for one, from ClearSk’s panel of doctors.
i can’t really rmb how much i paid but i suppose 100ish/treatment? lmk if you’ve any other qns ok? ^^ if you’ve a budget set aside for this & want a painless, effective hair removal, you can try out SHR cause it’s seriously PAINLESS! WHOOHOO! Cooling, in fact. Worlds apart from other hair removal methods.
Hi,
You mean, you did not complete the required session? And your underarm hairs grew back?
hi babe, i tried 2 sessions & yes the hair did grow back. at a slower pace.
but of course, how many sessions to have a ‘permanent’ effect really depends individually.
I’m not positive where you’re getting your information, but good topic. I needs to spend a while learning more or working out more. Thank you for magnificent info I used to be looking for this info for my mission.
I have observed that online diploma is getting preferred because accomplishing your college degree online has turned into a popular selection for many people.
A lot of people have not had an opportunity to attend a regular college or university although seek the
improved earning possibilities and career advancement that a Bachelor’s Degree gives you. Still other folks might have a diploma in one course but wish to pursue one thing they now develop an interest in.
