While dessert never went away in my life, a sugar avalanche is a must every month, naturally. An everyday Bella seemed like a reasonable treat but the Victoria in me is summoned whenever the red flows.
After a hilarious lunch, was the dessert platter from Obolo i12@Katong, the artisanal dessert cafe famed for its cheesecakes & macarons.
Could this be the best cheesecake & macarons like some people say? Besides the dark salted chocolate (the black patch that holds the macaron to the cake), this salted caramel cheesecake fell short of everything a cheesecake is; decadent snowy cheesy layers & an addictive blowout base.
The macaroons (pistachio & salted caramel; I didn’t know the cake came with it already. The ‘bright’ waitress failed to remind me too) were better in quality. The cookies were airy & chewy, a dreamy texture. I just might not order them again for its sickening sweet version.
