3rd Treatment For Acne @ GLOMAX; The Power Of Extraction

July 31, 2012

I’ve began seeing spectacular improvements in clearing of my cystic acne at GLOMAX Aesthetics – The Face Artistry & this is my 3rd treatment. Stay tuned to see my results & more treatments to come.

Usually, a trip to GLOMAX Aesthetics – The Face Artistry means a thorough extraction. By thorough I mean every single available pore on my face, hairline, jawline, below my jaws, lips, eyebrows (yes!) were checked & popped (if need be). Though it sounds tear-inducing, I’ve mentally prepped myself so well I survived like a true warrior.

Warning here, Evon’s classic extractions are uncomfortable. But the achievement of walking out with perfectly-polished pores quell the discomfort.

Why is a good extraction important to healing acne?

This was something I didn’t know about before GLOMAX Aesthetics. Firstly, you must realize that the most common type of acne is comedonal, known as white heads & black heads. They form because of a clogged hair follicle with oil & bacteria.

“When impurities from clogged pores are cleared, the pores appear smaller since the inflammation is reduced, rather than leaving them untreated & expanding the pores further.” explained Evon, Director & Founder of GLOMAX Aesthetics – The Face Artistry.

Extraction or pimple cream?

& then the question of whether there is a need to extract when there are pimple creams to reduce the inflammation. With pimple creams, inflammation can be reduced but some of it may still be trapped under the skin, giving chance for it to grow into a serious cyst. However, if that icky blemish is pulled out from its root by a skilled expert, it prevents deeper inflammation & minimizes scarring. FYI, Evon has more than 19 years of experience. Beat that!

What should happen before & after extraction?

Before an extraction, the skin must be properly prepped. At GLOMAX Aesthetics – The Face Artistry, the sonic cleansing wand vibrates dirt off the pores & makes the skin ready for deeper, easier extraction. After extraction when the pores are open, the high frequency wand serves as an anti-bacterial & heals the open wounds. Then Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is used to neutralize acne-forming bacteria, helping current lesions to resolve & preventing future breakouts. Lastly a cold mask calms the skin & reduces the redness so I didn’t have to plan for any post-facial hideout. So you can see, the price tag of Intensive Acne Medic Treatment 60mins $150 is a worthy investment.

I never used to believe in having my zits popped, but after seeing how much my complexion has stayed cleared (except for the week before my period), I now leave my face in the skillful hands of Evon & the knowledgeable people at GLOMAX Aesthetics who have been guiding me to clearer & healthier skin! If you’re worried about extraction marks which I suffer too, follow this series as I bring you my latest updates on my treatments.
